1994 Mark 3 Big end bearings
« on: 28 December 2006, 16:25 »
How hard are these to replace and can they be done with the top half of the engine left as is (I am 99% sure this is a no but hey, you dont ask.....)

My brothers are making a racket and he wants an idea. IF not too hard to do what bits are required ?

Thanks all

yes if this is the BIG END bearings this is nothing to do with the top end of your engine as in cam and tappets but loud clunky noise at bottom end and you will have major problems not an easy fix as in major engine work remove engine from car an recondition crank shaft bearing and shell IE BIG ENDS full recon recommended
