Hot air feed

When i bought my golf the hot air feed pipe had rusted and there was literally nothing there at all, so i went and bought a new one but that's decidedly cracked in half as well, presumably from the engine lifting up under acceleration or the extremes of the weather. Question is, is there a specific hot air feed pipe that you can get from vw and if so what is it? I got a 1.4 mk3 golf, if anyone may be able to help, i cant find anything about it in the haynes manual.

Is that pipe a solid one? Should really get the flexi pipes you can pick up from Halfords are places like that

It was one of those flexi ones, dont matter, i've rang up the stealership and they've ordered me one, i rekon it's a rubber solid one, should be more sturdy, cost me £15 for a bit o rubber!

lol I know what you mean, 5 inch of breather pipe cost me £8!! but your getting genuine VW
