Insuring two cars????
« on: 26 December 2006, 12:47 »
Due to the amount of miles I do I think I'm going to pick up a late mk3/early mk4 gti (it'll be the 2.0 if it's a mk4) and going to stop punishing the valver (1991). What do you guys who run two cars do - two seperate policies, both on one, a classic policy (don't even know if I can get one?).

I'll only be looking at doing 3-4k a year in the valver. I'm 25, 3yrs no claims and have 3 points sp30 from 2 years ago.

Cheers

Hello mate! Yeah probably the cheapest way to do it would be to cover the mk3/4 on a normal policy using all your no claims bonus and then insure the mk2 on a classic policy. On our classic policys it looks like they would be very cheap for the mk2. The car has to be over 15yrs old on classic so if its a 91J you will be fine, if its a 92J you will have to wait until the new year!

there is a seperate section on the forum for insurance now btw...
