Looking for braking info

hello to all right im after a bit of advice ive got a 16v 2l mk3 gti and ive started to notice a bad performance in its breaking everytime i need to stop quickly it makes this really weird jerking action from the front disks and i get a lot a vibes from the brake pad and it also twists the car out of shape does anyone know what could be causing it ? i do plan on changing the disks and pads in jan but i just need to know why its doing this thanks

Does the car have ABS?

If it doesnt then it could be a warped disc. I only say this coz thats what it sounds like is the problem but with ABS its shouldnt be possible to warp a disc.

it does have abs it feels like im braking on metal like once my brakes worn down it was metal to metal and you get this kindda for grinding feeling
