Cutting Out!

Hi There!
I must be the small boy in this forum with a Mrk 3 2.0 8V - M Reg!!
Have a small problem of every do often cutting out when I am slowing down to stop? Mainly dropping to second and braking at the same time?
Anybody who has had similar or know the problem , please let me know!

hi im new to this site just got a mk3 8v a week on sunday ago
all is pretty well really
im havin the same problems with sometimes cutting out
just done it bout half hour ago.
but is runnin spot on aPART FROM THAT

if its cutting out when you come to stop clean the throttle body out.
but if its cutting out when you drive replace the number 30 relay on top row where fuses are
this is a very common and make sure its a genuine vw item ,cost approx £10.50

yeah its when im coming to a stop at roundabouts or a junction.
did it twice yesterday.
once on the way to work when it was cold
then last night.
il get the relay cant complain for £10.50 really
and il clean the throttle body too
