Off for 3 weeks
« on: 20 December 2006, 11:19 »
Hi all... I am going off for three weeks and you might be thing so what, but I thought it might be of interest as I will be driving my R32 through Belgium-France-Switzerland-Italy-France(again)-Spain-Gibraltar-Morocco and back to the UK via Spain/France - oh scrub Morocco off that list becuase I don't want to get held at gunpoint over their for my car.       I'll park the R32 in a secure location somewhere in the south of Spain.  Not had even a week off work - including Christmas - since April 2002. Thats the life of an IT contractor, good money but no paid holidays, sick days etc..  The last proper holiday I had was in 1981 unless working in Belgium or a school trip to France in 1991 counts. Been married for 9 years and never took the missus on holiday/honeymoon as we were students and broke at the time so she's happy.

Mileage: 4200 miles
Photo Album: Yes - may post stuff online otherwise will do when I get back
Redbull - lots of, even though it will probably destroy my internal organs

By the way Doc don't do a runner before I get back and just because you haven't got a Golf doesn't mean you shouldn't stay on the forum - I am sure a lot of others like your virtual company and posts even if not technical.

I would love to do something like that, but just dont have a car that I would trust taking that far in case it broke down in the middle of antwerp or somewhere esle random!
