you might want to consider an
A-Glaze paint treatment, its quite pricey (say £300-400)and can only be done at certain dealers. But basically it puts down a protective polymer onto the car. I recently had this done, and even though I've got a 10 year old car, its made the paint work look really good and brought back the colour, whilst protecting it from most everyday things. A-Glaze are so confident about that, they'll provide a guarantee against things like bird poo, railway fallout, etc...
