Hello
« on: 17 January 2004, 12:38 »
Just signed up and wanted to say hello, nice place you got here. Anyway, im from London and im currently in the market for my first VW, a Golf GTI. I use to be a ford man, but i've gotten a bit fed up of them lately and think it's time to move on. As i mentioned earlier, im hoping to get a Golf GTI soon but i know absolutely NOTHING about them. Is there some kind of buyers guide on here or anywhere that can give me basic info, such as what problems to look out for, performance stats, difference between 8v and 16v, yadda yadda. Any help much appreciated, cheers! ;D

Welcome to the group. The Golf magazine has a pretty good section right before the classifieds that tells what to look out for. Thats a good starting point. :) Any thing else just ask here.
