So, on Saturday I went to a well known car supermarket to inspect my new GTI. As I approached the vehicle everything seemed to be fine, but the bright autumnal glare was disguising the horrors that awaited.
As I got closer to the car, I could see shimmering from inside an intense golden glow. Yes, the muppets had ordered me one with a

Wall's ice cream yellow

interior.
Of course I rejected the car immediatly. The manager tried to spin me a yarn along the lines of "you know that's the standard interior for black Golf GTIs"

Rather than argue, as really he was trying to engage me so he could do some convincing, I just

and asked for my deposit back, which I got (eventually).
I then drove to one of the VW dealers I'd used before and asked what he had. First up he offered me an R32 with black leather for £22k.

I managed to resist the temptation and got him back on track looking for GTIs.
It just so happened that they had a red 3dr parked out front with black leather, MFSW, C control, front loading 6 disc CD player RCD500 + VW sound pack (pants, I know), centre arm rest,
immaculate 18" monzas, hi-line comp, 9k miles (no xenons though

) and factory fit phone preparation.

Anyway, to cut an increasingly long post short, I've bought it and pick it up on Friday.
