I think my battery is knackered, but would like your thoughts on battery drain...... bought myself a 55ah which should do nice
I have a R reg 97 Golf GTi 8v....
Checked the alt and its pumping 14.4 volts steady, with no issues when running, just when i leave the car for around 3-4 days the thing won't start, i just get the sweet sounds of relays banging each other.....
disconnect the battery for this time and it starts no problem.
checked the drain, and its pulling nearlly half a amp constant, is this normal??? to run the alarm and stuff like that? tried pulling the plug on the ALT and other things, but its still pulling current.....
any ideas? or just a poor battery..
