Any tips on what to look for etc would be gr8

at the mo i drive a 96 mgf yes i know a convertible lol

anyway my m8t's just bought a golf mk2 and it's lovely and has convinced me to turn to the dark side lol

he has a 1.8 16v

umm i really want a mk2 my m8ts just bought one i fiddled about with it changed his oil sorted out a few rattles and fell in love lol

they look so damn sexy from the outside plus after 4K RPM they fly lol
