Trouble starting car
« on: 07 December 2006, 18:18 »
Hi,
Bit of a newb question. Had trouble starting the car from cold the past few days.
Turns over but wont start. Oil light flashes and battery light on but not flashing.
The car starts eventually and idles badly, when I press the gas the revs drop and the car cut out and battery light comes on briefly.
Can eventually get it started and going and from then its fine. Doesnt cut out and runs great.
Going to have the battery tested tomorrow as thats the only thing I can think of.
Is there anything else it could be if the battery is fine ?

I must agree with rubjonny and say Temp sensor.....cost's about £12..this control's gauge and ecu and when this goes they give the same problem's as descibed
