« on: 29 November 2006, 21:24 »
I have a little problem...

When i press the lock button from inside the car, the passenger door pin locks and then immediately pops out...but when i use the key fob the car locks perfectly???

Can anyone help sort this????

yup... sound like your passenger door lock switch unit is on the way out (common fault), you can try stripping the door and attacking the switch unit with contact cleaner etc but its only a short trm fix... try giving the passenger door a feckin good slam then try, also when you say its locking from the key fob this maybe so but is it arming the alarm properly?? this is another sign of faulty switch, i cant remember on my mk4 how many flashes it was for locked/unlocked im sure it flashes when you arm it (indicators) if it locks but dosnt flash indicators then you switch is deffo knacked... or may be one of the others on way out.. all give same symptoms
