does any of you lovely people know what the timing should be set at on my mk3 1.8 driver?
i've just put a new engine in (second hand) and having problems gettin it runnin right.
any help greatly appreciated.  cheers randy.

if you were round the corner mate id pop and have a look for yas... let me have a neb on the net and ill see what i can find out, i know the top pully has the timing mark on there, im sure the lowere pully mark is on the aux pulley which you have to remove (notch on pulley) and you have to line it up on the plastic cam belt cover marks??? if its running poor chances are youve moved the aux shaft pully which drives oil pump and dizzy and timing may be out?? easy enough to set though... if you get stuck let me know
