« on: 21 November 2006, 23:24 »
Hello people,

I posted on here a wile back when iwasnt 100% sure if i was getting a golf. but now im like 99% sure.  What is everyones verdict on the mk4 1.6 16v S &SE??

Also another question......KnN Panel Filter OR KnN 57i induction kit??  I heard the performance diffference isnt alot, i must admit i do want that nice sound..without it sounding to garyboyish..? So im thinking induction kit? could i get same effect from panel filter as i could with induction kit?

Just want to have a plan on what i wanna get for it lol

Cant get the 1.8gti although id love one.. but as its first car maximum i can have is 1.6 till 21!!

Thanks.

The 1.6 16v seems like quite a nice unit - no idea about the filters though.

Try and avoid earlier 1.6 8v. I had the misfortunte of having a Bora 1.6 SE company car in 2000 - it was crap - slow and thirsty.

What are you looking to achieve with it? Neither option is likely to create any real power gain. If it is just about making more noise then the induction kit type will do that.

Would like you achive power gain, maybe not such a good idea though as its first car, in that case probably just little bit noisey

been looking around and found some nice wheels, they would look really nice on a black golf which is the colour im hoping for.  I cant remember the model of the top of my head but i will find out later and post a link..there are lots of spokes and they are a light gold colour with a silver lip around them..
