hi, basicly, iv got a golf mk 4 turbo, and when i open the car with the fob and open all the other doors (its a 5 door) the boot dosent unlock, it only unlocks with the key although it always used to open. Any ideas any one?

is the lock in the correct position?  I think there are three possible positions

1) Always locked
2) Always unlocked
3) Locks and unlocks with the key fob

If it's not that you may have a knackered boot switch / module

think its a poop module then. as its always locked unless i actually put the key in the lock and unlcok it then. alot of the electrics are dodgy since my mate touched 2 live wires together which caused a nice explosion
