Im not sure if it was this site or not that i read recently about a number of people having problems with the auto up/down windows. But il post this here anyway as im sure it will help a few people out.

Today i had my steering wheel off to check why my horn has stopped working, still doesn't work  Anyway, i disconnected the battery so as not to set the airbag off when disconnecting it. After id finished, put it all back together and reconnected the battery (at least half an hour) i went for a drive only to find that the windows would auto go down with one touch but would no longer auto go up!!!  No matter what i did they would stop going up as soon as i lifted my finger off the button  :undecided:  WTF i thought!!! So i thought id see if the pressure sensors still worked on the drivers window(the anti dead children devise that when it senses any pressure on the window, it automatically brings the window down, so as not to chop anybodys head off that might be caught in the window!!) That still worked fine and didnt chop my hand off   But as soon as i did this i also re tried the auto up function, and this had suddenly started working again

So i went to the pasenger side window and did the same tests only to find that this also got the auto up working again

Sorry if people already know this but it seems this is the way to reset this function if the battery has been off for any amount of time.
