hi mate, people recomend re-circ DV's as it keeps the turbo spinning between gear changes by dumping the excess boost pressure back into it, if you have a mk4 turbo with a atmospheric one it will the "tish" but you will find it will stutter between gear changes sometimes and chance to not read as high MPG's
so far my findings are all from trial and error on my own and my mates cars- your car may run totally fine as it is.

if you did get a re-circulation DV id recomend a forge one any day.

also id buy your DV your takin off as i need one asap.

hope this helps

hello mate

thank you so much for the info but i do feel confused as at the moment my car is running like a dream with the DV on there which make the wooooosh noise lol

but like you said it seems alot of people do seem to have a sh!t time with this sort of DV

as i have not alot of cash at the mo i will have to think about it as i would like to change the Dv but its a money thing

i mean am i like 1 in a milllion as i seem to be the only 1 which likes the DV that i have????

do you have msn???

if its runnin fine then just make sure all the jubilee clips are air tight it will be fine, usually the turbo engines with the throttle cable, (Engine code AGU) run the best and fault free with a atmospheric DV, non-cable ones were prone to runnin poor and putting engine management lights on.

ive gotta AGU engine in mine and ran a noisy DV for about 6 month without problems, although i did get less MPG and found it would stutter during gear changes at low revs, since then ive had it revo'd and a audi TT re-circ DV fitted, felt like driving a new car!

i dont have MSN mate, dont really play on computer much, prefer to roll my sleeves up and get out there amongst it..............................

i found the car drove alot smoother with the standard one on, but mainly due to the re-map, came into some money a few month back and had it mapped, blueflame cat back system, and a home made ram air induction kit, pulls like a train over standard.

i replaced mine with a bailey motorsport re-circ dv as it was servicable so would last longer and was also told the AUM engine didnt like the atmospheric dv's.

fear is temporary, regret lasts forever...
