some of it will come out but Il still know there are scratches there and theres a slight bend in the metal around the door. I could probably live with it if i had to but id rather not. Spoke to the guy i know and he's goin to look at it at the weekend and see what he thinks. There are so many little niggles comin up with the body work, Its so much more than the cars worth to most normal people to get it done, but im not normal and its not just a car to me. Its almost the decider as to wether i keep it for ages and do all the re-engine, re-trim etc etc or just leave it as is and let it die. After havin wheels and exhaust done this summer Iv already spent so much on gettin it right and its becoming a difficult choice.

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

Well the guy I know just had a good look at my car and unfortunately my estimate was right. He's quoted me 500 quid to straighten out the rear quarter pannel, passenger door and re-paint both. Its goin to be a nightmare deciion wether to get it done or not, its a lot of money to spend and with idiots like that around here Im almost tempted to just give it a good polish and ignore it.

really sorry to hear that about your car, hopefully this will make you feel a little better.
Whilst shopping at my local tesco in Romford at the end of a really sh!tty day for many different reasons I got back to the car and tucked into my chicken and stuffing sarnie (bad choice I know) I spotted a chavtastic blonde women in her early 40's who clearly thought she was still in her early 20's (we all know the type, the turkey cleavage is a dead give away)
Anyway to cut a long story short she loaded up her shopping in the back of her ford focus and even though she was 20ft from the bay she just left her trolly where it was I only realised what was happening 2 seconds too late as the trolly rolled into the side of my car.
I jumped out to find a big old dent in my rear passenger side door! Now after the day I had just been through I wasn't in the best of moods but this put me over the edge. Even though my 89 mk2 isn't going to set the world on fire it's still my workhorse, and how good or bad your car is wasn't the point.
At this stage she had reversed and was on her way to the exit.........the red rage over took me and I nipped through the traffic until I was faced by her in the que for the exit. I slammed on her window and let her know what happened, to my utter amazment she said she didn't know what i was talking about and buzzed up her window. This broke me and I flipped, I gave the impression that I calmed down and asked her another question hoping she would wind the window down, she did and she experienced a face full of very tasty cherry Powerade in the face and when I stepped to the side and she drove off quite fast my key seemed to make contact with the side of her car!
I know I might seem like a mentalist but f##k me that felt good.
