It doesnt appear to have the character of the older golfs. It almost looks a little Honda Civic like from some angles. Just have to see it in the flesh to give a real opinion. But it doeas look a bit like a mass produced box in those pics.
Hope the GTI's have a bit more about them

really surprised to see it on there already complete with prices. thought they were going straight to the 200bhp FSI later in the year.

How much does it weigh?.
Looks like it needs 200 hp to go like a gti and all for only ?17,685.
I will get my cheque book out right now  ;).

There is a 200bhp GTI comin out later with special edition trim and interior. These are early models are for VW to earn a buck or two first. The GTI for GTI nuts is to be released later and from what i've seen ut will be my next car!!!

Although the new A3 is very tasty too...
