electic mirror query

I'm missing the motor on the drivers side mirror motor.
I can get a motor in a passenger side for cheap money.

Can I take the motor out of the passenger mirror and put it in the drivers side?

you should be able to . i wouldn't have thought vw would have made one for passengers side and a different one for the drivers side . i might be wrong though.

I need to know this too as my manual ones are colour coded and I need electric ones. I've found a loom, switch and passenger's side one in the scrapper, but no luck with the drivers side yet.

Wheres vr6 when you need him.  . i'm sure that motors are just motors though . you just my have to turn the motor around to fit in . fek elec mirrors i got manual ones . no bothers then with wolfsburg adjusters . pukka me old mukka

lots of other chrome and polished bitz aswell . i got no elec windows either just nice chrome handles . more electrics more to go wrong i rekon
