Today is the day I get my Mk5 GTI with various toys....

so fingers crossed (only been waiting for 5 months after various changes to the spec)

Finally turned up, 8 miles on the clock and she looks amazing.... almost worth the wait, although the drive home this evening will be the real test....

DSG, used to have a Smart Roadster Brabus until my daughter arrived, this is the sensible family car...

Your GTI sounds cool!

It is very very cool, (but thanks Doc) I actually enjoyed my commute home, in spite of taking it easy to run in the motor (I still belive in this quaint old tradition!)

Just need to work out a few things now, tried to get the auto closing windows / sun roof to work but i think i got that wrong (searching on the forums here came up with press and hold lock, so I'll try that again) and the other thing is the revised stereo, why on earth are the buttons a different colour...  however that should be sorted when i get the cash together to Alpine the HU and add in GPS...  ;-)

lol i amire your sense in humour of owning a smart, my mother has one and gets none stop stick in owning hers!!, if i got shopping to tescos with her, i keep expecting the anti theft brakes kick in as you leave the tesco parimeter red markers.!!

 and plz tell me if your were not another sad person that waves to a passing by smart owner!

Its was my missus car for her to go to uni in and when I drove it I did not have time to wave to anyone!

Good fun though but it needed an ESP off switch!

I had a CL500 at the time!
