40 quid sounds expensive to me! Last time I hired one it was £15 for a weekend so thought 20 quid now.

Do you really need to buy one? Are you gonna use it often enough to warrant the expense?

Why not hire one for the weekend?

Well i have a habit of doing a lot of work on the car myself and i also do a lot of work on mates cars aswell, like i just done a gearbox on a mates mk3 and seriously couild of done with a crane. Im doing a conversion and a mate is looking at doing one soon so tbh it would get used.

I'd either go halfs with the mate then, next time someone wants you working one their car you can bung on a £20 hire charge for the use of the crane
