Mk1 Rivage battery
« on: 30 October 2006, 16:28 »
anyone know which battery? normal golf mk1`s show up as

BOSCH BATTERY TYPE 063 45Ah 255/420 212Lx175Wx175H 0/1 B13

but i know mine has had it replaced before at somepoint but not sure if its got the correct one in! also I thought it may need something higher powered because of the electric roof, heated seats and electric windows!

symptoms are it drains power when starting in the morning and just about starts, making the clock go all funny and seize! its only not started once, but its struggling to turm the starter more and more as time goes on! so i think its the battery.

I dont have the manual, i would appreciate it if someone could check in there first for me!

cheers

I'll have a look at mine for you and let you know tomorrow. I don't think mines anything special though and I can't see it needing to be that great just for heated seats, electric hood and electric windows. It sounds to me like you probably just need to replace your battery with a new one.

cheers for the replies guys, Ended up ordering one from ECP, they had Bosch Silver for £39.99 with 3 yr warrenty or their own (Bosch made) one with lifetime warrenty! £29.99. no brainer really!

Other half picked it up together with some super 4`s and engine mounts today.

may need some advice on fitting engine mounts at some point!
