Well its good joining this forum as I am finding out all sorts of things about the MKIII by looking around since I joined. However there is a down side, curiousity. I read something, go out side and fiddle (with the car) and so it goes. I was reading about total closure on here and wanted to see if the cobra alarm fitted to ours could be upgraded to give us total closure.
First off I popped the bonnet to have a look and see what was there. There is the siren for the alarm (Not the whole alarm I guess?) so I tried to quickly follow the wiring back into the car. Next I remember once having a car where the alarm was shuvved up in where the fuse box was. So back in the car I go and remove the cover from the fuse box to reveal a small wire hanging, I touched the connector and the thing fell away in my hand! What the hell the wire is for I have no idea but its a thin 2 core bugger that looks like this. Any ideas? Nothing to be concerned about?
This is what it looks like in case someone knows what it is. Before anyone says, I know the thing at the top is a pen lid....
