plus i think they still use the VR6 type approach to it where its a narrow angle V6, so they would have to design a V8 that is narrow angle too. I could be wrong though as I am not certain that the 3.2 V6 is narrow angle

Its narrow angle, yes

the 3.6 is all ready used in USA with 280bhp in passats

Went to test drive an R32 again at weekend as thinking of changing my car (didn't get to drive it as it had broken down) at my local dealer. Sounds like the MK VI will be with us next year or year after. The sales man said they have started specing up the SE model at no extra cost to shift as many MK V's as they can. He had herd that the R36 is on it's way soon as well. Considering this is some one who had not heard of the edition 30 till I'd asked about it last week, I don't no what to make of it. Sales men. They had 6 Git's on the forecourt as well and I nearly laughed when he told me how much he'd give me for mine. How much value will the MK IV lose when the MK VI comes out?
