NOS is also illegal for road use and the police will screw you over it.

Is it?  Ive seen it on Motorbikes, and its pretty difficult for sweeney not to see the bloody great blue bootle hanging out of the faring.

Noz i have it 50bhp atm to let the car get used to the idea of lots of extra power !!

ok it cost 1200 fitted with digtal nos controller and progressive nos controller and 5kg nos bottle .

now when i was out testin with james from jbs we started with it on a long piece of road in 4th at 2500rpm hit the pedal down full and i was doing just over a 100mph in secs !! with wheel spin too and considering i am runnin a gaife ltd slip diff also just shows how much power i am producing !!

also 5th was the same as 4th 2500rpm and 100mph secs with wheel spin..

also along with the nos dont forget i am running a tuned up s3 engine with revo,so i not saying you could go out and get it and have the same proformance !!

but d00d u will notice the difference big time !!

hope it helps

snowy

also if u wanna ask any questions speak to james @ jbs 01246 550400

tell him i sent ya he will help u no probs

Having had an 8v and now owning a 16v I have to say there is no contest between them, 16v wins hands down. However it's more expensive to run (in mpg terms) and insure.

What I will say is whatever you go for you won't be dissapointed, they bothe have plenty of good points. The two golfs I've owned are the oldest cars I've ever had, most of my other cars have been a year or so old, yet the Golfs still feel the best built and most secure. I'd say that the 16v is probably the best car I've had, especially in terms of value for money.
