Just thought I'd say hi, new to the site!

I'm looking to get a mk2 gti 8v at some point next year so thought id come on here and get some more knowledge about them!

got some big plans when i do get one!

well its bene started for a while, but insurance wont allow me to have one yet!

ill have 2ncb next year provided i dont crash so should be able to afford one at a price!! hope so anyway!

i take it by that that your a young driver?
ive found admiral/elephant to be gud for young drivers...we do have a member on here from hic, martinb, but not sure at what age they start insuring people..

yeah i'm 17 at the minute, 18 soon.

as soon as i can insure one at a sensible price then i will have one, by sensible i mean upto £1500!

ive got an 04 clio at the minute, but want to go oldschool! stripped out, recarpetted with 6point roll cage, 2 buckets in the front, slammed on coilies.
want it for show use, and also some trackdays!

Insurers will have a field day with you for even mentioning "track day car" anyway three pointers to get lower insurance! 1) join gti's owners club 2) get a sh!t hot alarm i.e clifford 3) limit your milage per year prices will tumble! I was only paying £300 fully comp for my vr6. try RAC..

i will be getting a cat 1 alarm on it!

if i do trackdays ill get independant insurance, not go through who i am normally insured with!

mileage will be limited to about 6k.

just had a quote for one now at 17 with 1ncb for 5k with elephant!!!
