Bonnet stuck down !!!!!

Went to top up my washers and pulled the catch, made a click, went to open the bonnet but it was stuck down.

Back to the switch and pulled it but i wont click, pulled and pulled but dont wanna break it.

1st thing - How do i get into it

2nd thing - It wont pop up will it, i know it has a wee thing you pull to fully open it.

Will VW charge 40 million quid to fix it or is it easy done ?

I had a similar problem when I first bought my car. Snapped the handle. The bonnet catch had siezed.

I had to get hold of the nipple on the end of the cable and haul on it whilst a friend pushed and pulled the bonnet itself.

Oh and every oil change I now lubricate the bonnet latch.

The parts for the release handle in the car are suprisingly cheap
