small vs big airbox 16v
« on: 25 October 2006, 18:52 »
wanted to replace my air mass flow meter, so bought the complete kitt with airbox and rubber connector upto the throttle body of ebay.

But................. i just noticed that the air box is bigger than my 89 16v box, and there seesm to be one or two extra connections, will it all connect upto my original system (vacuum pipes etc) or does it need to go back on ebay?

cheers

just take the air mass meter off and use your existing box & pipe setup

there is no power advantage or the likes of that

AFIAK the reason was a new parts bin i.e. cheaper to make a 4 sided box rather than one with a big horn on one end!
