i drained my radiator this afternoon (took off the bottom pipe) and when I refilled it i only got about 2.5 litres in before it was full - i see that the haynes manual says 6.3 litres - where is the extra coolant?! does it not all come out when the radiator pipe is removed? thanks in advance

inside the engine block, unless you take out the thermostat it will be full of coolant :)

Had that happen to me had to flush out the radiator cause i think it was blocked when i filled it up i only got about 2 liters in what i did is pulled the top hose off the rad to allow the air to escape until the coolant started to run out the top. then i close it back up left it over night (got to dark to work) saw the coolant had gone down then just topped it back up good luck.
