Short Shift +1
« on: 25 October 2006, 17:33 »
After reading Rowlers topic I've got intersested in this.

What really are the benefits....just a shorter distance between the gears?

Is this worth it? $16 doesn't seem too bad if its any good!
Mk2 8v and 16v.

Always looking for bits!

It can help sometimes, but tbh you're only looking at a tenth of a second or two on the 0-60 dash. That of course is assuming you can do textbook gearchanges all the time, and in any case the mk2 gearboxes hardly have massive gaps between gears.
