who has samco hoses on early mk2 golf gti?
« on: 25 October 2006, 13:50 »
Hi

I am wondering if anyone has samco hoses fitted to an early mk 2 golf gti, if you do, could you please post up some pics, as i am trying to find out what hoses are included in the kit. I know there are 6 of them, but which ones.

Also, do the hoses ignore the fact that there was a bypass valve fitted to some? The reason i ask is i am fitting a MK3 heater matrix and am doing away with the bypass valve.

Any help pics advise would be very much appreciated.

this is for an 8v you can see the 6 hoses you get in the kit. they don't take into account he heater bypass thingy so you'll either have to chop your hoses up or just bin the bypass like i did!

nice job on engine :) , and id agree ditch the bypasses , there a bleedin waste of time anyway, one of those valves caused my head gasket failure a year ago , damn thing got stuck slighty open and the pressure build up as water couldnt circulate properly blew the gasket , grrrrrr!.
