MK2 VR6 Price ?
« on: 22 October 2006, 19:46 »
What sort of money would a MK2 VR6 be worth ? I've got a Mk2 16v with a sha**ed engine and I've been offered a VR6 set up to put in it . I'd like to know how much they are worth done so i can justify to my other half spending the money to do the conversion . I would just love to have one to just for the sound track

I've seen them in the past selling for 2.5-3.5

How much do you think it would cost you to perform the conversion?

The VR6 set up is about £650, and the car was free so it makes sense to me . I've always wanted a VR6 MK2 . My mate used to have one and it just sounded the nuts .

Hi Rob, Was it hard to do your conversion ? Is there any bit's of the conversion that are a real pain to do ?

How does the VR6 conversion affect the handling, with the extra weight at the front? Or can this be fixed with a decent suspension set up?

You should be able to do this convesion - its pretty easy, well worth it especially for the price you have mentioned you are getting bits for etc.

As for them being a little heavy at the front - make sure you geta decent suspension set up and you will be alright.
