Hi,

Just tried starting replacement engine for the first time.  The lights on the ddash came on and there was a funny noise, I think possibly the fuel pump.

Then checked under car towards rear and could see fuel leeking.  Dont think I had a problem with the fuel piping etc in the past, could this be a pressure release?...

Im really hoping nothing is wrong with ther fuel pump.

Some connections are still not fixed, however Im pretty sure that most of the crucial ones are?

The flexable pipes if you have replaced them, you have replaced them with poper fuel hosing as my brother had this problem when he put his car into a garage and they fitted the wrong sort of piping.

Pipes are all orginal.

I dont think the starter motor is turning the engine, thus not firing.. I think the fuel pump is ok tho.

I need to sort that fuel leek, although it may have been related to a pressure build up I think.

If your getting a clicking noise, give the starter motor a whack with a piece of wood and a hammer, this might get it to turn over but you will need to replace soon! Also when you try again take your spark plugs out and turn it over untill you hear the starter meet some resistance, this is the oil pump filling up, refit plugs and start up.
