Take the point about Kjet being up to fuelling a fairly high powered NASP 16v, converting to EFI can't be a bad idea though as in addition to having a high revving NASP engine you have the potential to turbocharge, supercharge or fit throttle bodies and then remap in a couple of hours.

So what is slick running to get this sort of power out of an N/A engine, mines had £9000 spent on it and its still only pushing 170bhp? (I didn't spend that picked it from ebay for £2000).

slicks was an ex BRM engine. 2ltr 16v with some good head work etc not quite sure on the details.....

if i'd spent £9k on an engine id be gutted! a tuner i know has a 300bhp (now detuned to 250) 16v g60 and he says to replicate it would be about £10k, but thats fully worked and blue printed etc. how did the original guy justify £9k (and only get 170bhp?)?!

He was an accountant, the head was gas flowed by tsr, with their pack A head, with G60 head gasket, lighted and balanced flywheel, suspension by c&r inc their mk3/4 top mounts as suspension is that hard. Front drilled and grooved disc's,with new hub's, bearings etc.... Uprated fuel pump and some other bits, haven't had it rolling roaded myself, but had a retune at psi, which has made it pull better thoughtout the range, and can keep up with a clio 182. Much to the dismay of them!!!!!

you would of thought an accountant would be wise with his money as 9k is alot to spend on an engine. he could of got an Evo 4 or possible 5 for that amount of money, if power is what he was after.

I dont really know what slick's engine has had done but its an example of the power than can be achieved from running good old K-jet
