You'll need MK2 digifant injector inserts, these screw into the head with an allen key.  I'm not sure what size they are though! (this is assuming you plan to use MK2 digi-shaped injectors though.
You'll also need a compatible fuel rail & FPR too, and you'll probably want a MK2 digi throttle body so you get the idle & WOT switches.  Then you need to think about the airflow sensors you're going to need, and how you're going to attach them to your throttle body...

Oh and the ignition system will require some thought, I recon you'll need a MK2 digi dizzy with a hall sender in it, along with the plug that goes into it.

 You should be able to find all you need to know about MegaSquirt here:-

http://www.megasquirt.info/

and here:-

There's also a huge tread about it on vwvortex but the link I have is on my home pc, I just tried searching their forum but I couln't find it  :embarassed: will post it up when I get home

I'm doing this conversion too but on a severe budget due to newborn baby.

There's a great thread here

http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=53889

which tells you everything.

Only thing not mentioned so far I think is lambda, which for a wideband is quite dear (relatively). about £150, more if you want a decent AFR gauge

I've already got some G60 injectors (still need to get the seats) off ebay

and I got a 16v auto Passat throttle body with Throttle position sensor. There's a guy called AdidasCU selling one on here. That's who i got mine from and he's very reliable and it's in US too so the dollar rate means its v cheap. That will help the conversion tremendously.

Be interesting to see how you go. I eventually plan on turboing mine, this is the 1st step.

Bahn Brenner are doing a 16v EFI fuel rail for $139.95 at the moment. Approximately 74 quid based on the current exchange rate!

dont do it!

i was down at racepower motorsport today as they used to be next door to where i work and jim was setting up my car, and in our conversation about what route to take with my engine, he said k jet is by far the better system if done properly especially for big power form the 16v unit - worth keeping in mind
