engine light

Hi all first post from me,

Just picked up a 95 golf tdi and I am very happy with it but just got  couple of Q's for you all.

1) The engine light goes out to quick and I have to wait for the air bag light to go out before I can start the car??

2) Passenger window is a bit slow going up I guess it needs a new motor but were do I get one from or is it something else.

Hi fellow tdi dude,

Don't worry about engine light going out quick, does on mine, you only gotta worry when light's come on!!

Don't know about window speed might just need a bit of grease on the slides.

COOL, so what else can I do to me tdi it's got all the GTI bits???

You could try this, I'm gonna when I got the pennies saved.

Then you could look at changing the suspension, possibly lowering it, gotta do mine it's terrible  . This will improve the look and handling loads 

Search the mk3 section for possible mods, you said yours is a '95 which should be a mk3, but you posted in the mk4 section lol 

Post some pics so we can have a look at it.

Just had look at this, you right time to start saving!!!

It is lowered and has alloy's will post some pic when I get round to it (it helps as i am a photographer)

Sorry to post in the wrong place I thought this was the TDI section will start looking in the mk3 section

The mk2 and mk3 area's haven't got a Tdi section for some reason  , only picked up your thread by accident.

You ride sounds cool, would be nice to see it.

Mine's in my sig, standard for now apart from the rear light's. Stripping out the interior at the moment, so i can dynamat it. Then I'm gonna start on my audio install, gonna build door pods, to go with my wheel arch sub box. Then I've got mk4 recaro seats to go in, front and back. Then new wheels and suspension, headlight's, HID kit, crystal fog's/ indictor's and paint job to clean up exterior with smooth bumper's . It's a mission but really enjoying it.
