   Just found this sight, and decided to jump in and say hello to everyone, I am in the US right now and moving to the UK next month, I have been into vw's for around 15years and I am bouncing off the walls excited to get into a eurospec mk1!!! It is way different in america, because we always get crappy detuned versions of everything(the almighty government like to "save us from ourselves", lol).  I have already been scoping cars out on here, any advice on what to watch out for when buying an older vdub?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

hey hows things. probably the worst thing with mk1's will be rust. if the shell is sound then anything else is easy to sort. afterall engine conversions are commonplace and bolt on parts are just waiting to be upgraded whereas a shell should be there for good...
