i know he is breaking it for his car but why? it was a nice looking car. It did sound a bit rough at e38 but hey it was just a blowing exhaust.

i think the reason he is breaking it is because all the hard work hes put into it and he doesnt want to see his beloved car being driven by anyone else.

f**k it i'd buy it if i could get it picked up! paint it black, swap my doors, tailgate, interior etc onto it then stick the 16vt in there, wait for a haldex system and gear box and i'd have my dream golf!

i think the reason he is breaking it is because all the hard work hes put into it and he doesnt want to see his beloved car being driven by anyone else.

But the auction says: " ...have since bought the car of the owner 2 months ago and I am now breaking the car. Im breaking it as I needed to keep bits from the car for my next project and this was the best way to make my money back."

Sounds like someone bought it, and bizarrely decided to break it 2months later. If that is the case, then someone has a screw loose.

like joe said they are often worth more in parts than in one go , and sometimes there has been cases of builder/owners , not wantin people claimin resposibility or enjoyin the car they put there heart into
