hey whats the worst garage u have took u car to and y

like it says realy just i realy would like to no what the worst garage you have been to and y ...here is mine i toke my car into a garage for an engine rebuild
look what happens when my car was in there

1 when taking off my bonnet thay dropped it and put a massive dent in it so it was okok thay will get a new one
2 then thay took off my wheels my wheels are bbs rs 3 piece rims so when taking them off thay put one of the wheels one the face of it scrached the sh!t out of it so thats a referb
3 next i had a phone call from my m8 that there the garage is up in flames (my face i felt sick ) but luckery do damege
4 then 3 weeks later i had a phone call again telling me that a scaff holding poll fell from the roof and landed on my front wing one my car put a massive dent in it so thay got me a new wing and all resprayed

thats it never again and the cost was well very very dear for the rebuild like these to to take off manifold 100pound and put one new number plates 90pound and this one makes me pissed of 120pound to take of a set of head lights and this is all on a mk2 golf 16v gti 1988 tell me what u all think

Having mashed my mk1 into a Honda Civic I bought another one, took both to the garage to have the engine from the wrecked car put into the new car.  I told them very specifically "take the engine out whole, leave everything on it as I've replaced absolutely everything"  they only needed to remove the bare essentials in order to get it out of the car...

* Took everything off the good engine and replaced it with all the junk off the unknown engine  surprise!!! half of it didn't work.

* I'd already swapped the clocks over, but they still took the speedo cable off the gearbox anyway, dropped it in and jammed up the gear box, refused to accept this was their fault and I had to take it somewhere else 

* They couldn't tune it to run at all as they'd also decided to swap over the metering head (I'd already done it, and told them  )

* Swapped the driveshafts round (again, i'd already done it)  - so they took the good ones off and replaced them with knackered ones

* whilst the engine/driveshafts were out they moved the car around, knackering the wheel bearings

*  I know theres lots more but can't think, I'll dig out my court preparation - I think I must have blocked this out, its all starting to come back to me now and I want to go smash up a garage 


Basically what would have been 6 hours labour at Volkspares turned out to be 14 hours over 10 days???  so I told them to fuc& themselves & the only way they'd get a penny out of me is through court (I would have paid something had it not been for the £330 gearbox repair)  they took me to court, and lost

The worst garage I've ever taken my car to is a garage thats in Brislington in Bristol and all they had to do was put on a new front bumper and one indicator and a small repair to the front wing, the garage is an approved Subaru and Saab repairer so I thought I cant go wrong here. I took the car in and waited to be contacted by the garage, sure enough a few days later I was phoned and told the car was finished and I could collect it. Upon arriving at the garage I had a look round the car before going in and found that the bumper they had fitted was covered in scratches and where the front wing was re-painted they had masked up the silver swage line sticker and the red pin stripe that is just above the rub strips and when the masking was removed it had left a step of paint around the swage line that was thicker than my thumb nail and above the red pin stripe the paint was chipped and jagged where the masking had been removed. When I said to the manager of the company that the whole repair was completely unacceptable he just started talking sh!t and when I asked him why they had masked the stickers up instead of putting new ones on the painted wing he said that the stickers were no longer available. By this time I was not happy and informed the bloke that he was talking b@ll@cks as I had phoned VW the day before to get a price for the stickers and check they were available and they were ! After about half an hour of him talking sh!t and me getting more and more annoyed I told him that I was leaving the car with them and they could phone me back when the car was repaired to an acceptable standard. I then left and complained to my insurance saying that the approved repairer was a load of sh!t, a few days later I had another phone call from the garage saying again that the car was ready to be collected. I set off to pick it up with my 23 stone mate with me for moral support  , when I got there the bumper had been replaced and was now looking fine but the swage line sticker had just had another stuck over the top of it and the pin stripe was the same. Its fair to say that the manager was sh!tting himself as soon as he saw the look on my face and came no closer than he had to, once again I explained that the repair while better was still unacceptable and invited him to explain what he was going to do about it. He went into the work shop and came out with the sprayer who promptly asked me what I wanted him to do, when I replied "I want you to do your f*cking job" my mate suggested I calm down and I again told them I would come back when the car was acceptable. A few days later I went and got the car and this time all was well (third time lucky), when I asked the bloke the cost of the repair he said that was between them and my insurance but after insisting he tell me he said that the cost was just under £1000. I found out the cost of the parts (all genuine) and it was under £200, they had charged my insurance about £800 labour to fit a bumper, one indicator, two stickers and repaint one front wing, unbelievable

  retard spanner monkey managed to burn through both cv boots and snap part of my steering rack whilst adjusting my tracking. all repaired free of charge after a letter to the owner and me going mental in the reception on a Saturday morning while they were full of customers, 2 of whom were waiting to be served but left after realising how sh1te the place is. 

I use the same garage and mechanic i've been using for the last 15 years for things i can't do. God knows what i'll do if he retires/dies, he's about 65 now.

i am lucky enough to have a mate who is a mechanic so am alright most of the time, but i took my scirocco to this local garage, never used them before, for a carb tune up. I had just had a weber fitted to it and it wasnt running right. Basically they just f**ked about with it and made it worse, i blew it up within a week!

I still owe them a £5er too, but they can have to of them *neaty flips the bird in their direction*
