Coilover help ?!?

Morning all !!

Right now this may seem like a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway .....

I'm changing my suspension over the weekend now my stainless coilovers have arrived; my question is how should I go about working out a base height for them?? After a few weeks when they have settled I'll probably set them up again nice and low (I have searched other threads for measuring from the base of the thread to the base plate for this), but what about if I want to set the ride heght to standard to let them settle??

I guess I just wanna try and avoid spending all day making adjustments!!

everytime i've done them i just set them about half way, drop the car down and see where it sits. do one as a base referance point and work it out from there. coilovers don't settle as much as regular shocks/springs.

start them as low as possible and take a drive around local roads raising them each time. Effective but has damaged many a wheel arch

Also, to improve handling, run the front 10 - 20 mm lower than the back. If it's just cosmetics you are bothered about, run front and back the same height
