Mk2 16V Coolant Indicator
« on: 18 October 2006, 21:50 »
My coolant indicator (level/temp) is flashing constantly, but there doesn't seem to be a problem with either. I think it's the control unit within the instrument cluster. Does anyone know if the control unit is the same in all models, even if the cluster is different ?

unplug the level sensor and bridge the pins on the connector.  If it stops then the sensor in the tank is screwed, if not its a wiring fault, or a problem with the control unit in the dash (late MK2) or the relay above the fusebox (early mk2)
