Will a Mark 5 Engine fit in a Mark 4???
« on: 18 October 2006, 14:16 »
Hi Everyone,

I have a Mark 4 which is the 1.9 Gt tdi 110 but the engine is now knackered, so I'm looking to replace it.
I've been offered a TDI engine from a Mark 5 2.0Gt tdi 170bhp.
I'd be getting the Engine, turbo, gearbox, ecu and the loom.

What I wanted to know was, will this be a straight forward job? Is there anything that I need to be aware of?

You're advice is much appreciated!

Thanks
Shaz

Not necessarily straight forward.  You'll also need, without a doubt, the matching clocks.
