Petrol Gauge
« on: 17 October 2006, 17:53 »
It appears i havea problem with my petrol gauge , it suddenly dropped the other night to reading just above empty, and wont go up any higher. I have put more fuel in to no effect ,  and it does move under ignition , but only to just above zero . Im thinking its a problem with the float in the tank , has anyone taken this out ? Any Tips .

take off your driver side dash under tray first, and check all the earth connections to the metal 'claw' next to the fusebox.
Removing the tank sender is easy, look under the round metal cap in the boot, theres a big round plastic 'nut' undo this and the pump/sender unit will lift out.
