Wolfsburg edition mk2?

Hi. I was speaking to a guy the other day who claimed his mk2 oak green 1991 car was a rare Wolfsburg edition? Could this be so? Did they do a Wolfsburg edition campaign model?

They did campaigns, but not wolfsburg editions, it's just a common myth. They were all made in wolfsburg for europe.

aye its more to do with people sticking wolfsburg badges on them and calling them wolfsburg editions!!

Golf Limited's where built in Hanover though ;)

I think the wb edition is a US thing, they love geman built MK2s over there as the ones made in the US and/or Mexico are crap build quality :grin:

It would only have been fitted to very early UK MK2s, or MK2s from the continent since the side repeators are an MOT requirement over here.

My mk2 has wolfsburg badges where the side repeators should be and it passed it MOT no problem, in fact it failed on corroded front brake pipes and passenger side wishbone bushes worn.
