steering gaiter help
« on: 16 October 2006, 16:00 »
Hi there people.
I put the car in for an mot thismorning and to my surprise all it failed on was my offside front steering gaiter was split. So i went to my local auto shop and got one for £3.62. I was just wondering how easy or how hard it would be to fit the new gaiter....
Thanks for the use of the forum and for any help that i get...cheers.

the gator can be slid up & over the trackrod end to fit - so u've only one bolt to take out and dont mess up the tracking either

its very fiddly though trying to get the boot onto its mounting lip. i needed an extra pair of hands to get mine on! its very tight area to work in & around

Thanks Gambit for the info.
I will have a look at it but if i think it's to fiddly then i will just get the garage to do it.

Thanks again mate.
