One of Hale and Pace had a mk3 golf - I remember cos he was on tv once moaning that you can't actually fit golf clubs in the boot

Is that true?
I'm not a golfer, and we've got a mk2... but I'm pretty sure I could fit a set of golf clubs in the boot... so surely this is true of a mk3?

You can get a set of clubs in the boot of a mk3. What he said is utter sh!te! When I go away for tournaments I have all sorts of sh!t that gets crammed into my boot, including a mahoosive golf bag and all my clubs and they do fit. Admittedly with my big bag I have to take my woods out of it but with my other bags they fit fine! I also have a sub and amp in my boot so maybe he was trying to put them in there upright!?!

Right, il end that one now and stop being sad!

Quentin Wilson used to rave about mk2 golfs so I doubt he hasnt got one! Always used to do the stuf on used cars on top gear back in the day and end up saying that regardless of how good it was, he would still rather have a gti. Recon he was on commision tbh!

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

The Audi A3 boot is cr@p for sticking golf clubs in. No space for my 3 wood and Driver.

My Golf 4 is the same, you have to take the driver out of the bag for it to fit and if you got a trolley as well you got no hope
