How do you get the panal off the driver's door?
« on: 14 October 2006, 19:08 »
Can anyone help me to get the panal door off to look at the driver's door window - it is making a buzzing noise abd then stops - the window won't move.

Thanks

check the cables in the rubber boot in the hinge of the door first - these have a tendancy to snap & cause problems like you describe

Thanks for that - but we have tried this and now the passenger door window is working from the drivers side but the drivers door window is still not working - what can you further suggest?

it could be something to do with the cables going to the motor for the electric window or it could be the actual motor. the best thing is to take off the panel and have a look if you couldn't see anything wrong in the rubber boot. its just a case of unscrewing the pin for the central locking  and pulling the panel off (start at the bottom) - its just clipped on.

Erm , there is a large screw beneath the plastic hand grip on the door . You need to pull this cover off to get to it .

Then the door just pops off working gently between the door card and the door .
