This bugs me to.
Many years ago, diesel was always 1 - 2 p per litre cheaper than petrol. Then I bought my first diesel car (pug 106 - horrible in every way - but it was French!) and diesel then became a minimum of 1p dearer per litre. After a while, I sold the French disaster and went back to petrol.
Soon after diesel dropped back to the same price as petrol.
Move on to more recent times - well past 3 years anyway, and I bought a Discovery TD5, since then diesel has steadily become more expensive than petrol, now I have the Golf TDI as well, so its set to become even more expensive.
No doubt if I sell them both and go back to petrol, diesel prices will drop rapidly, but no plans to do that.
So blame me if you want, I am the jinx on diesel prices
